An emotionally abusive relationship had left Linzie feeling self conscious about her body. She was so nervous before her photoshoot, but was inspired by other ladies’ stories and photos to book a last minute appointment and went for it! Now her beautiful boudoir photos are proudly displayed on her wall as a constant reminder of how others see her.

I've always been very self conscious of my body, and been very negative towards myself. I think most of this stems from being in an emotionally abusive relationship in the past and constantly hearing negative comments from someone I loved.

I loved Foxlow’s approach to empowering woman how they help them accept themselves. I was inspired to book a boudoir shoot because of all the amazing and courageous woman that have shared their stories and photos previously - and that’s why I wanted to share my story too!

I was very nervous about the shoot and quite grateful it was a last minute slot I booked otherwise I think I might of backed out. Danielle was very helpful during the preparation process - offering lots of tips and advice and, more importantly, reassurance.

The makeup and hairstyling stage was very relaxing and professional. I was worried about the hair styling with me having really short hair, but I was really pleased with the overall outcome and Charlotte considered my outfits so that she could find the right colour tones to match in my makeup.

I was soon put at ease by Jon and Danielle in the studio. Their guidance and advice on positioning and angles was invaluable! After the shoot had finished, I was filled with so much adrenaline and was actually still in shock that I'd just had a boudoir shoot.

I was extremely nervous about going to see my photos, I was convinced they would all be awful. I took my husband along to support me and I sat in shock!

I couldn't actually believe it was me on the screen. Turns out there were too many pictures I liked and so I purchased one of the photo albums and also have a few prints framed on my bedroom wall.

Although I still struggle some days with my confidence, I've always got my photos on hand to look at, so I can remind myself of how everyone else sees me.

I will forever be grateful to the Foxlow team for helping me have this experience and I would encourage any woman out there that is considering having a shoot done to just go for it! You've got nothing to lose but a huge self confidence boost to gain.
