Frequently asked questions.
Most of our clients have never done anything like a boudoir photoshoot before, and everyone is nervous about the unknown. Here are some of the most common questions we hear, but if you have any other questions at all please contact us. Honestly - there is no such thing as a silly question.
-
Absolutely not! The gorgeous women on our website and social media range from size 6 to 34.
At our body positive studio, women of all shapes and sizes are not only welcomed - but celebrated! You can read more about this on our blog:
-
We only photograph clients over 21 years, but there is no upper age limit! So far we’ve photographed ladies from 21 to 74 years - we believe there is no age limit to beauty and sexuality.
If you’d like som inspiration, check out our blog post:
-
Our photoshoots have been described as “surprisingly physical” with poses designed to accentuate and celebrate your body shape. We always adapt each pose to suit the way your body moves, your level of flexibility and proportions. You can also take breaks to rest and stretch whenever you need to, we’ll move at your pace.
However, our studio is located on the 1st floor of listed building and can only be accessed by a steep wooden staircase. If that would be inaccessible to you, please contact us to discuss your requirements.
-
Your photos and experience with us are completely confidential unless you give us written permission to share them. We’re proud that so many of our clients allow us to share their photos to inspire others, but it’s a very personal decision that you can make once you’ve seen your photos.
-
We charge a £300 session fee when you book your appointment which includes:
A welcome pack with our magazine and style guide for inspiration
Personal advice on what to wear and help with lingerie shopping

Our collections start at £900 for ten images in a lovely mounted print box, or twenty in a fabulous bookbound album for £1700. All our collections also include digital downloads of your printed photos too.
-
After your photoshoot, you'll head off for lunch and come back a couple of hours later to see all the gorgeous photos we’ve created together and decide which photo collection you'd like to purchase.
This is your opportunity to sit back and watch a slideshow of the gorgeous photos we’ve created together, before choosing your favourites and placing your order.
-
Absolutely! We have a fabulous range of classic frames and modern aluminium panels so you can create something special to display at home.
There are a range of options from £500 and our collections include print credit towards your wall art as we know the value of seeing your favourite photos everyday!
-
We don't sell digital images on their own, but we do include digital versions of your printed photos in all our collections. This includes permission for you to reprint them to any size and share them online.
-
Airbrushing, retouching, editing, photoshopping... whatever you call it, this is a personal decision. Our usual approach is “you on a good day” where we subtly remove temporary blemishes such as bruises or spots and smooth marks from clothing etc. If you'd prefer these to be left untouched, just let us know.
Then when you see your photos, you can ask for a little additional editing, but we don't offer dramatic airbrushing that changes the way you look. In fact, we make it our mission for you to love your photos from the moment you see them at your viewing - and it's rare that clients ask for any changes.
-
Don't wait! There’s no such thing as the perfect age, shape or size for a boudoir experience. You don’t need to change anything about yourself for a shoot, and you definitely don’t need an excuse to treat yourself. Our frames and albums etc take up to 8 weeks to be printed and delivered, so we suggest booking 2 or 3 months before a special occasion if you're planning a gift for someone special.
It varies, but we’re usually booked 3 to 6 months ahead. Occasionally we have last minute appointments available, so it's always worth getting in touch if you're on a tight timescale.
-
Yes - we ask you to bring 3 or 4 lingerie outfits plus accessories for your photoshoot to explore different styles and personalise your photos. There are so many options to choose from including bras and bralettes, knickers and thongs, bodysuits, suspenders and waspies, chemises, teddies, stockings and hold-ups.
If you’re really overwhelmed by the idea of shopping, check out our blog post:
5 things to wear for a boudoir photoshoot when you have “nothing to wear”
When you arrive at the studio, Danielle will sit down with you to go through everything you’ve brought and help you make any final decisions on outfits; so if in doubt you can bring along more options.
-
Certainly! For some ladies this is a brilliant excuse to celebrate their lingerie collection, but for others this can feel overwhelming. Danielle can offer you as much help and support as you’d like before and during your photoshoot.
When you book a photoshoot with us, we will send you a copy of our magazine and style guide which are full of suggestions for what to wear and advice how to prepare for your photoshoot, plus links to her favourite lingerie sites with fabulous styles from dress size 4 to 34, bra size 28AAA to 58K. Then she is just a text message away if you’d like second opinions while you’re shopping, or she can even send you suggestions to suit your style and shape if you’re struggling.

We host all our photoshoots at our cosy boutique studio in Wirksworth, Derbyshire. Wirksworth is a quirky market town on the border of the beautiful Peak District in England; fifteen minutes from Matlock with its pretty riverside park and lots of independent cafes, shops, restaurants and bars.
-
Your photoshoot will be private; it will be just you, Danielle and Jon in the studio.
Jon directs the photoshoot, controls the lighting and captures your photos. You can get to know Jon better by reading his blog post:
Why I’m a Boudoir Photographer
Danielle helps you with your outfits and poses. You can think of her as your personal assistant and stylist for the day! You can get to know her better by reading her blog post:
-
Absolutely! We always begin by styling your hair and applying your makeup whilst you enjoy a coffee or perhaps a Prosecco or G&T. It’s a wonderfully relaxing way to be pampered before your shoot, and ensures you look and feel fabulous before we take a single photo.
-
That’s what we’re here for! We’ll tell you what to do, where to look and even pose your hair. You’re never put on the spot or expected to know what to do, we will explain everything and demonstrate the trickier poses so that you can simply copy us.
-
There’s a private space for you to get changed in the studio, but Danielle will also be available to help you whenever you need it.
Lots of us are intimidated by lacing, clasps, hooks and buckles on lingerie - all these details and fastenings look great on camera, but can be really fiddly and time consuming. Common requests are lacing corsets, securing hooks and eyes, attaching stockings, adjusting straps, clasping necklaces and buckling shoes.
-
As we are bordering the Peak District, there are lots of lovely B&Bs, hotels and holiday lets nearby for you to choose from. Please contact us if you’d like recommendations of where our clients have stayed before.
-
Wirksworth is easily accessible by car, just half hour drive from junction 28 of the M1. Matlock train station also has hourly connections to Derby; from which direct trains lead to London, Sheffield, Birmingham, Plymouth, Crewe, Leeds, Bristol and Edinburgh. If you’re travelling further - the nearest airports are East Midlands (45 minutes) and Manchester (75 minutes).
-
We believe in equality and your freedom to explore and express your identify, gender and sexuality. We specialise in photographing individuals in a way that celebrates your femininity with lingerie and other traditionally female accessories, styling and poses.
However, that's not all we can do! We have also photographed individuals who wanted to show their more masculine side and so adapted our poses accordingly. We are honoured to have worked with many fabulous members of the LGBTQ+ community and EVERYONE is welcome at the studio to wants to experience our style of photography!
-
Absolutely! We understand that this is a real treat, and we have a couple of options available to spread the cost of our photo collections.
You can pay us directly in up to 4 instalments or we offer 12 months interest free instalments with PayItMonthly. Please message us if you’d like more information about this option.
