Kerri’s photoshoot was a big step towards learning to love herself

Kerri was so nervous before her boudoir photoshoot that she nearly cancelled 3 times! Yet she loved the whole experience, from the makeup and hairstyling to her luxury photo album. She normally dreads seeing photos of herself and gets into her head criticising herself, so it was a really emotional moment when she saw her photos and finally saw how beautiful she is!

Just a week after her photoshoot she says she's starting to believe in herself and love herself more. She knows that learning to love yourself isn't always easy, but if she has a bad day she can look through her album and remember how beautiful she is.

I actually won a Boudoir photoshoot voucher from Foxlow and I feel it was meant to be! I loved the idea of it, but I’m shy and doubt that I would have found the courage to book if it wasn’t for winning my prize from my local fitness group J H Fitness.

While I was preparing for the shoot, Danielle was on the other end of messenger anytime I needed her! She reassured me and helped me with outfit choices. She is honestly amazing. Yet as the big day approached I was very nervous about doing this shoot, to the point I nearly cancelled three times… I’m so glad I didn’t! I’m forever grateful to the family and friends who reassured me that I could do this.

The makeup and hair Louise created for my shoot was beautiful! I’m always nervous when people do my hair and makeup because I have my own way of doing things, but I didn’t need to be. My makeup look natural, flawless and beautiful and my hair was exactly how I wanted it. I felt so beautiful.

In the studio, I felt so comfortable and at ease in front of a camera thanks to Jon and Danielle. It just felt so normal, I almost forgot I was in underwear! Danielle talked me through everything and helped me with poses and technique.

Before my viewing I did get in my head a little and worried about how I was going to look, I don’t normally like photos of myself and was dreading it a little. Yet I cried happy tears when I saw my photos! I was so shocked with how beautiful I looked and I couldn’t believe the photos were me. My mum also got emotional because she knows I struggle with my self confidence, she was so happy for me.

The ordering process was perfect. Jon explained the different packages for me to choose from and there was no pressure to buy. I decided to treat myself to a beautiful 8” album because my photos are so special to me. I know that on a bad day I can look back through my album and remember how beautiful I am.

As I write this story, it’s only been a week since my photoshoot but I’m already learning slowly to believe in myself more and to love myself. It isn’t vain to love yourself, it’s a very hard thing to do and I’m working at loving myself because I am beautiful.

I always say: be your own kind of beautiful. So honestly, book in! This is one of the best experiences I’ve ever had.
