Kim discovered her confidence in her curves

When Kim first came across our boudoir portraits on Facebook, she admired the photos but didn't believe that she could do anything like this herself. Having suffered from Fibromyalgia for more than a decade, she had no confidence in her size 26 figure.

“I hid behind black baggy clothes”

"My Fibromyalgia began slowly starting with random pains after my Hysterectomy when I was just 46. Over the last 12 years, because of the drugs I need to control the pain, I have gone from being an active, confident, slim size 10 to a very large size 26 with no confidence or self esteem. I hid behind black baggy clothes and NEVER have any photos taken. I always said that no-one wants to see that many chins on their Facebook.

So how come I’m here, stripping off to my undies in front of two people I have never met before? The seed was planted in my mind after seeing some photos by Foxlow Photography on Facebook. They looked beautiful and more natural than other boudoir photos I had seen. I really liked them, so I promised myself that once I had lost weight I’d book a photoshoot for myself.

I joined their private group The Vixens of Foxlow to find out more and I kept looking at the photos other ladies shared and reading their stories. When I said I needed to lose weight before I could book a shoot, Danielle challenged me and explained that they take photos of ladies of all sizes, but I still told myself that there was no way I could look beautiful and sexy.

Then on Danielle’s birthday she put a special offer on for a shoot and one of the dates available was MY birthday. So, officially feeling out of my mind, I booked it.

“My husband loved seeing me buy sexy stuff again”

Every day as it got closer to the shoot, my husband had to stop me cancelling it. I was petrified. I searched the internet for sexy clothes my size, which was difficult, but there are some out there and my husband loved seeing me buy sexy stuff again.

I had my hair cut and coloured, my nails painted bright red and also had some sessions on a sun shower. Then on the 5th November, suitcase packed, I set off for the studio thinking I must be insane but I was excited at the same time.

“I went for full on vamp”

I was met by Danielle and settled down with Louise to have my makeup and hair done whilst sipping a glass of Prosecco for courage. Louise did a fantastic job on my makeup and hair. I went for full on vamp.... in for a penny, in for a pound. Heading into the studio, Danielle went through my suitcase and helped me put together my outfits for the shoot.

Fumbling and extremely nervous, I put on my babydoll nightie for the first photos. I followed their directions and after the first few shots, Jon gave me a look at one of the photos and I burst into tears! Could this beautiful sexy woman really be me? Yes it was! After that moment I relaxed into the shoot and thoroughly enjoyed every minute.

“There were so many perfect pictures to choose from”

I went with my husband to view my shoot, he was just as excited as I was and the photos were better than I could have imagined. There were so many perfect pictures to choose from. We slowly picked the ones we liked the most and Jon explained how we could display our favourite photos.

I chose a box of prints rather than a book because I am so proud of them, I want them all on display.

“This has changed everything for me”

I honestly can’t wait for my order to arrive, this has changed everything for me. My lovely husband Keith has always said I’m beautiful and I always dismissed it. Now I have proof that he's right!
